Virtuals Protocol launched the VIRTUAL stake function.
On May 14, AI proxy platform Virtuals Protocol said on the social platform that the VIRTUAL staking feature is now live. By locking VIRTUAL, users will receive veVIRTUAL, a voting escrow version of the token, which represents long-term synergy, deeper utility of the protocol, and future governance power. Starting today, 20% of all Virgen Points will be distributed to veVIRTUAL holders, replacing the previous mechanism of earning points by simply holding VIRTUAL, marking a shift in the way the Virtuals ecosystem is rewarded for participation.
