On May 11, the token issuance platform Boop.fun announced an update regarding the BOOP Airdrop, stating that “the new airdrop claims will be ended early. The current airdrop mechanism has not created platform value as we expected, but has instead been exploited and manipulated, damaging the overall experience. The original intention was good, but it has failed in the design of the incentive mechanism, failing to effectively promote the healthy development of the ecosystem. Therefore, we have decided to stop this ineffective practice. If you have already obtained the airdrop quota during the vesting period, these quotas will still be valid and can be accelerated by completing specific tasks. Unclaimed BOOP (except for a small portion reserved for Kaito) will be redistributed for a brand new rewards system. This system will be launched in the next 1-2 weeks, aiming to better support meaningful token issuance and incentivize those who are truly willing to build in the long term.”
