Rakuten Wallet, which operates cryptocurrency (virtual currency) exchange services under the Rakuten Group, announced a partnership with New Zealand-based metaverse development company Futureverse on May 8, and started connecting to “RakutenWallet.Pass” from the same day.

As a result, users of the Rakuten Wallet app “web3 Wallet” will be able to easily access the metaverse platform provided by Futureverse.

Rakuten Wallet.Pass is a digital wallet that utilizes the wallet service technology of Futureverse. It aims to enable users to access Web3 services such as games and metaverse without the need for specialized knowledge of blockchain or complex procedures.

With the same Pass, users can utilize the “Reebok IMPACT” service provided by Futureverse to create personalized digital sneakers based on their favorite photos and generate them as NFTs.

Futureverse, utilizing unique technologies such as AI, blockchain, and digital ID, is building the foundation for the next generation of the internet. It has formed partnerships with renowned brands and companies such as Netflix, Major League Baseball (MLB), DC Comics, and Warner Bros, with Rakuten Wallet being one of those companies.
