Vitalik: The advancement of Ethereum account abstraction aims to achieve native support at the protocol layer.
According to Wu, regarding the upcoming Ethereum Pectra upgrade, Vitalik Buterin stated that account abstraction is currently only halfway complete. The ultimate goal is to achieve native support on the Ethereum protocol layer for non-ECDSA type accounts, such as multi-signature, secret key replacement, quantum-resistant accounts, and privacy protocol accounts. Recently, positive progress has been made in simplifying the EIP-7701 proposal to promote this implementation.
