One of the U.S. states, Georgia, proposed to include topics such as “blockchain, cryptocurrency, and Web3” in the curriculum of the Democratic Party’s Education Department in the House of Representatives

This proposal envisions providing education on the digital economy and cryptocurrencies to students in Georgia from K-12, that is, from preschool to 12th grade. The reason for this change is expressed as “the increasing acceptance of Bitcoin and its use generally in place of traditional currencies”.

The growing acceptance of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) worldwide increases the importance of such education. This proposal aims for young people to grow up as more conscious and knowledgeable individuals in the digital world.

Digitalization in education is supported by a curriculum that teaches how blockchain technology can be used more broadly alongside cryptocurrencies. Especially, blockchain holds significant potential for transforming financial and digital systems thanks to its decentralized structure.
