The first month of the official summer application has finally come to an end. In March, I submitted countless resumes, worked on countless elementary school math problems, and repeatedly introduced myself to the interviewers...
Physical fatigue is secondary; what I cherish more is having many opportunities to converse with myself and systematically review the path I've taken. Looking at those words, it feels like I can see the anxious, reckless version of myself at that time. I want to hug her and tell her that although some outcomes are not satisfactory, you have already done very well to the best of your ability.
The previous fatigue was more on a mental level; I was really afraid of being judged as incompetent in the workplace. However, the abilities of business students are really hard to define. It’s not about whether the code I wrote can run, or whether I can sell this car; it’s difficult to measure with quantifiable indicators.
So when I was denied before, I would always doubt myself, but now I am much more composed.
What is the reason? I think it is because as a trader, I stand in the market with the tool of options, feeling the changes in the trade-off of the profit curve, taking on the risk exposure that I am willing to accept, and facing the feedback it provides directly and captivatingly.
After nearly two years of experiencing a 7*24, highly volatile market, I realized that I might have the ability to survive in the market. It is not the skyrocketing returns that matter, but rather the long-term ability to stay in the game. I believe this is more important and worth more than countless research reports and numerous superior titles.
I am very lucky to have discovered crypto and options. It has provided me with an extra leverage point, creating a large net with my other hobbies, my dear friends, and partners, allowing me not to be afraid of falling.
I am very grateful to all the countless teachers along the way who created quality popular science content, such as Sarah, Jeff, sober, Longxin Salt, Adam, and many others. I am also very thankful to myself for listening to blockchain courses while goofing off at ByteDance, which opened the door to web3.
This is my first month of being 24, and my expectations for myself are: I hope to immerse myself in everything, to do rather than think. I hope life unfolds fully and that I expand my contact with the world. I hope to love well and enjoy being loved.
