BlockBeats message, April 6. On April 6 local time, the Israel Defense Forces released a statement saying that the IDF launched “large-scale airstrikes” against multiple airports in Tehran, the capital of Iran, destroying dozens of Iranian Air Force aircraft and helicopters.

The statement said that over the past night, the air force launched large-scale airstrikes against the Iranian Air Force and the Air Force of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps at several airports in Tehran, with air force fighter jets striking many targets at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport, Mehrabad Airport, Azmeeash Airport, including aircraft, helicopters, and other military infrastructure.

The statement also said that Mehrabad Airport has been hit multiple times; the airport had been used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ “Quds Force,” and is a central hub for Iran’s armed forces in the Middle East and for funding its proxies. (Jin Ten)
