According to 1M AI News monitoring, at AI Innovation Tour · Wuhan Station, Volcano Engine, a subsidiary of ByteDance, announced that the API for its video generation model Seedance 2.0 is now open to enterprise users for a public beta test. Previously, this API was only available to selected business partners via a whitelist; strong demand has given rise to a secondary resale market. As reported by 36Kr, some organizations pay tens of millions of yuan per year to purchase “mashup” style API quota.
API pricing is about 28 RMB per million tokens (including video asset input) and 46 RMB per million tokens (excluding video input). Generating a single 15-second 1080P video consumes about 300,000 tokens, with an estimated cost of about 15 RMB, which works out to 1 RMB per second. Volcano Engine also emphasized that the API provides copyright and portrait safety assurances covering full modalities and the entire creation workflow, including infringement detection and deepfake defense.
