BTC 15-minute surge 0.80%: spot incremental buy orders and changes in the order book structure drive a price breakout

BTC-1,48%

From 2026-03-31 01:15 to 2026-03-31 01:30 (UTC), BTC saw a clear bout of unusual movement. The candlestick data shows a return rate of +0.80%, with the price ranging from 67,241.1 to 67,884.3 USDT and a recorded amplitude of 0.96%. During this period, trading activity in the market was active; risk appetite rebounded, and short-term long sentiment dominated, pushing the price to break through a local resistance level.

The main drivers behind this unusual move were a synchronized rise in trading volumes across the spot and futures markets and a significant net inflow of funds into exchanges. Spot trading volume surged 35% compared with the average of the previous hour to reach 16,900 BTC. Perpetual futures trading volume increased 28% to 10,600 BTC. On-chain data shows two large transfers exceeding 2,000 BTC each flowing into exchange hot wallets; in the short term, buy-side power concentrated and burst out, effectively absorbing potential sell pressure and lifting the market upward. At the same time, about 3,800 BTC net flowed into a major exchange, mainly driven by institutional and large-lot buying.

In addition, the order-book structure resonated and amplified price changes: the buy-side order quantity rose 30% month-over-month, while sell-side orders increased by only 18%. The buy-sell ratio climbed markedly to 1.21, driving the price upward to break through. Market depth (5 levels) increased by 25%; improved liquidity further reinforced the uptrend. The number of active addresses rose by 22%. New capital flows were mainly directed to the spot market. In the short term, increased fund inflows strengthened the overall upward momentum. It is worth noting that no major on-chain event or media sentiment appears during the relevant period, so this round of rally is attributed to the resonance of fund behavior rather than an external news catalyst.

Be alert to the risk of short-term leverage buildup: enlarged futures positions may trigger subsequent liquidation pullbacks. If the major buyers retreat or encounter large sell orders taking profit, the price faces downward pressure. Monitor the order-book buy-sell ratio, changes in futures open interest, and the direction of fund flows, which can help track short-term risks.
