BlockBeatNews

BlockBeats message: On Monday, March 31, U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with the New York Post that Iranian Parliament Speaker Kalibaof is one of the Iranian officials who has been communicating with the United States regarding ending the war. When asked whether Washington can trust Kalibaof in working with China, Trump replied, “We’ll wait and see.” He also said that about a week from now he would tell you the details. On Sunday, Trump told the Financial Times that Kalibaof had authorized allowing oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump interpreted this move as meaning that Kalibaof is willing to make concessions in order to reach an agreement to end the war. Kalibaof denied having any talks with the United States, but experts said he is a hardliner who has the qualifications to reach a deal. According to the Wall Street Journal, Kalibaof is one of two Iranian officials temporarily removed by the United States and Israel from its “death list.”
