encryption payment and personal freedom
At the end of the article on August 29, there are two comments:
"Have you read the book 'Stablecoins Closely Related to Every Common Person'? It explains many application scenarios of stablecoins and the combination of stablecoins + AI + IoT."
"Shouldn't we create a blockchain marketplace where you can download games and various software, just like the Apple Store, but this marketplace must have a unified currency, such as Ethereum."
Recently, I have become particularly sensitive to topics related to cryptocurrency payments, and thoughts and questions about cryptocurrency payments occasionally flash through my mind.
The reason I have been frequently thinking about these issues lately is that certain nerves deep in my mind have been touched, and I have recently started to take a particular interest in Peter Thiel and Palantir, which he personally helped create.
Due to the collision of these experiences, my thoughts began to undergo a significant transformation.
My previous views on crypto payments can be seen from my past articles:
A few months ago, I talked quite a bit about the AI + Crypto track. From this perspective, my main points and conclusions are that cryptocurrencies serve AI and are designed for the trading scenarios of future AI Agents.
However, despite the fact that the scene has great imaginative potential and business prospects, I am purely viewing it from a business perspective and as an outsider. No matter how grand the imaginative space it can trigger, it still feels like I am watching it with cold eyes, maintaining an attitude of detachment.
But now, as written in that article on August 29, I find that my thoughts have changed a lot, and I have returned to the perspective of "people," returning to the state of "people."
No matter how developed, spectacular, or grand AI becomes in the future, humans will always remain important members of this society. Moreover, we ourselves are human. From our own perspective as humans, even living in the future, we still need to consider our own interests, our own environment, and the issues we may encounter.
Even if AI can provide services that seem unparalleled to humans today, are those services accessible to each and every one of us?
What if not?
Who will set obstacles in this?
I believe that a significant portion of the barriers likely still comes from centralized institutions controlled by humans. For example, in certain regions, all services provided by AI Agents are still forced to be paid for with fiat currency, which means that the controllers of fiat currency can decide who has access to these services and who does not.
Thinking this way, regardless of whether there is AI or how advanced future AI Agents may become, if this barrier is not removed, even living in a futuristic sci-fi world, people are still controlled by centralized institutions. From the Trump family to countless small merchants in Yiwu, centralized institutions can find an excuse to create endless troubles for you; a small department in a place thousands of miles away that you've never even heard of can block your source of livelihood.
Living in such a world, even if the surrounding environment is dreamlike, people still have no dignity and no security.
Therefore, the significance of cryptocurrency payments is not limited to their ability to support grand AI narratives, but more importantly, they can uphold individual dignity and security.
Knowing its significance, I believe that as a participant in this ecosystem, one should make an effort for the arrival of cryptocurrency payments when able.
Peter Thiel is a great example in this regard.
When he saw his country deviating from the values he envisioned, instead of participating in politics like many others, he chose to fund and even personally support those enterprises and individuals that aligned with his values, subtly transforming his country in the process.
Palantir, Tesla, SpaceX, and the U.S. Vice President Vance are all well-known cases that are the fruits of his long-term efforts.
Some say that the assets he invests in are grander, not in business, but in power. However, when I saw him strongly advising Musk to continue collaborating with Trump and not to oppose the grand and beautiful legislation, I could still strongly feel the fervor within him. It is a spiritual pursuit that goes beyond business and interests, fully dedicated to defending conservative values.
Since cryptocurrency payments mean breaking free from shackles and regaining dignity for individuals, participants in the crypto ecosystem cannot afford to ignore this.
I haven't read the book "Stablecoins Closely Related to Every Common Person," but what I'm more concerned about is whether the "stablecoins" discussed in this book are developed based on a public blockchain, allowing for global free circulation, or if they are "stablecoins" designed within a consortium blockchain fence?
If it's the former, then this book is worth reading.
But if it is the latter, then one must be careful when watching. Because such "stablecoin" payments are merely leading humans from one fence to another, changing the soup but not the medicine, which is of little significance.
For the concept of "blockchain mall", even last year, I would have directly ignored it, but now when I see such projects, I take a serious look and even try them out.
