Deep Tide TechFlow News: On March 25, according to China Securities, COSCO Shipping Container Line previously released a service notice: Effective immediately, it will resume booking new regular container services from the Far East to Middle Eastern Gulf countries including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq. The resumption of shipping does not mean that COSCO's container ships can pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Multiple COSCO personnel stated that vessels will not transit the strait for the time being. Instead, following a similar solution to that previously adopted by CMA CGM, containers will first be shipped via sea to Sohar Port in Oman on the east side of the strait, as well as to Khor Fakkan Port and Fujairah Port in the UAE, and Jeddah Port in Saudi Arabia. Containers will then be transported to these countries through land transportation and transshipment. (Caixin Net)
