Derby Police in the UK issued a statement on the 28th saying that a vehicle-ramming incident involving pedestrians occurred in the city that evening, injuring multiple people, and that the driver responsible has been arrested. The statement said the incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. local time, when a small car drove through the city center in Derby and hit multiple pedestrians, resulting in multiple injuries. The injured have been taken to the hospital. The statement said that shortly after the incident, police stopped a vehicle suspected to be involved, and a male driver in his 30s has been arrested.
