Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces: U.S. military actions impact France's security

On the 24th local time, French Armed Forces Chief of Staff Fabian Mantel stated at the Paris Strategic and Defense Forum that U.S. military actions in the Middle East have impacted France’s security. He mentioned that the U.S. decision to “intervene” in the Middle East was made without prior notification to France, and they were surprised by the actions of this ally. The U.S. has become increasingly unpredictable, and is also reluctant to inform France when deciding to carry out military actions. He emphasized that although the relationship between France and the U.S. remains “very strong,” it has implications for France’s security and interests. (CCTV News)
