Samsung Biologics and U.S. pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly have partnered to establish a biotech startup hub in Korea, marking Eli Lilly’s second such international site and the first collaboration of its kind with a domestic firm in South Korea. This initiative will expand Samsung’s C-Lab Outside program into the biotechnology sector, providing promising startups with research infrastructure, mentorship, and investment connections. The facility, located in Songdo International City, is expected to host about 30 biotech startups and aims to foster the growth of the Korean biotech ecosystem.
