On the 9th, U.S. President Trump stated at a press conference that the United States is investigating an airstrike at an elementary school in Minab, southern Iran. He also again attempted to blame Iran, implying that Iran may also have “Tomahawk” cruise missiles. On February 28th, the area where the elementary school in Minab was located was targeted by airstrikes from the U.S. and Israel. According to Iranian media, at least 165 people were killed in the attack, most of whom were young girls. Analysis by U.S. outlets such as The New York Times and CNN suggests that the munitions shown in the video of the attack on the Minab elementary school closely match U.S.-made “Tomahawk” cruise missiles. The reports further indicate that in this conflict, the U.S. military was the only combatant using this type of missile.
