Offshore RMB interbank offered rate fluctuates; overnight HIBOR falls back to 1.58864%

Viewpoint Network News: On March 11, the offshore Renminbi Hong Kong Interbank Offered Rate (CNH HIBOR) showed mixed movements across major tenors; the overnight HIBOR fell by 5 basis points to 1.58864%.

According to reports, the 1-week HIBOR slightly decreased to 1.61818%; the 2-week HIBOR rose to 1.63061%, reaching the highest point since February 10; the 1-year HIBOR remained steady at 1.85636%.

Additionally, over 60% of the 30 billion RMB liquidity from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s daily repurchase agreements has been utilized.
