It's wild how quickly both L2 solutions and Ethereum mainnet fees have dropped—even those of us who experienced it don't fully grasp the scale of the shift until you see the numbers laid out.

Remember 2023? We were thrilled getting L2 transactions down to $0.3-0.5 because mainnet gas was absolutely brutal—we're talking three-digit dollar transactions just to move funds around. That was the reality back then.

Now? The gap has completely flipped. Both layers have become significantly cheaper. L2s have pushed costs down to pennies or fractions thereof, while mainnet gas fees have come down substantially too. The infrastructure improvements, scaling solutions, and increased throughput have genuinely reshaped what's possible.

Looking at the data really drives it home. The fee structure we'd have considered a win two years ago would barely register as notable today. That's real progress on-chain.

Honestly, back in 2023, we would spend half a day calculating just to save a few bucks on gas fees. Looking back now, it's a completely different world...

Back in 2023, spending a few hundred dollars to transfer a coin was no big deal. Now, it can be done for just a few cents... This change is just too crazy; I have to see the numbers with my own eyes to really believe it.

Wow, two years ago I had to spend hundreds of dollars to transfer, now it's done with just a few cents... This progress is incredible.

ngl Two years ago, I was still worried about every gas fee... Now, transferring funds casually costs just a few cents, and the contrast is really incredible.

Back in 2023, paying triple-digit gas fees still seemed normal, now it's at penny levels... This progress is truly outrageous, I kind of miss the days of high gas fees haha.
