In the mouths of 100 people, there will be 100 versions of you. In others' eyes, there will always be various "you". Sometimes, you haven't done anything, yet you've already played countless versions in someone else's story. No matter how well you do, it's hard to meet everyone's expectations; no matter how upright you stand, there will always be someone finding fault with you. Often, it's not that you've done something wrong, but that you've been casually placed into someone else's script, becoming a character that they can fabricate at will. There are always some people who judge you based on first impressions; some people can't wait to label you after just seeing you once. And then there are those who impose their dark suspicions onto you, speaking as if they have experienced it firsthand.

So, you will hear various versions of "you": some say you are too strong-willed, when in fact you are just expressing your thoughts; some say you do not fit in, when in fact you just have a strong sense of boundaries and do not want to be easily offended; some say you are calculating, when in fact you are just quiet, wanting to protect your own heart. You cannot control how others perceive you, but you can choose not to be swayed by these meaningless voices. There’s no need to explain yourself, and definitely no need to please others. Many misunderstandings cannot be clarified at all. The more you say, the more you appear to be guilty; the more eager you are to clarify, the more some people will think there’s something wrong with you. Truly smart people have already learned to keep quiet. The real you is not what others say, but what you gradually walk out as yourself.

Other people's mouths are on their bodies, while your life is written in your own footsteps, living at your own pace. Time will see your silent efforts. In fact, you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. Those who understand you don't need an explanation; those who don't understand you, an explanation is useless. In this world, there will always be people who misunderstand you, discuss you, or even deny you. But please remember: in the mouths of 100 people, there will be 100 versions of you. You should live as the person you envision in your heart, remain unshaken by the words of others, and not be discouraged by the prejudices of others. What you truly need to do is not to account for yourself to everyone, but to live your own life well. As long as you have a clear conscience, and remain neither humble nor arrogant, those voices will eventually be drowned out by time.
