[French Interior Ministry: Enhanced Security Measures for Leading Crypto Entrepreneurs in the Country] According to Politico, the French Interior Ministry stated that it will provide enhanced security measures for leading crypto entrepreneurs and their families in the country. This decision stems from at least three kidnapping incidents targeting leaders in the crypto industry and their families that have occurred since the beginning of this year.
French Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau stated that the new security measures include priority access to the police emergency hotline, police home visits, and security briefings. At the same time, law enforcement personnel will undergo “anti-encryption asset money laundering training.” These cases have now been handed over to the French Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office for investigation, and several people have already been arrested.
