[Abu Dhabi Sovereign Wealth Fund Invests $408 Million in BlackRock Bitcoin ETF] According to a 13F filing released today, Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund Mubadala disclosed its holdings worth $408.5 million in the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT). The fund reported that as of March 31, 2025, it holds 8,726,972 shares of IBIT, an increase from the 8,235,533 shares reported at the end of 2024. This major move by Mubadala breathed new life into US spot bitcoin ETFs, which received significant inflows in May. On May 2, 5 and 9 alone, collective total inflows were $674.9 million, $425.45 million and $334.58 million, respectively, and continue to grow, including yesterday’s inflows of $319.12 million. BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF IBIT remains the top choice for institutional investors, receiving $232.46 million in inflows yesterday alone.
