On May 14, the Shanghai cyberspace administration announced that it had registered the generative artificial intelligence service (AI) in Shanghai in accordance with the requirements of the “Temporary Management Measures for Generative AI Services”. The registration process for AI services capable of directly calling models via API or other means, with the ability to generate public opinion or mobilize social media, is currently underway. As of May 13, Shanghai has added 5 generative AI services that have completed registration, bringing the total to 85 services. This information is public but is not investment advice.
