The Gate Contract Index Zone will launch BVIX and EVIX perpetual contracts for live trading at 15:00 (UTC+8) on January 28, 2026. BVIX represents the 30-day expected volatility of BTC spot prices, while EVIX represents the 30-day expected volatility of ETH spot prices. Both contracts are settled in USDT.
This series of contracts supports 1-50x long and short operations, with leverage ratios selectable at the time of order placement. BVIX/USDT and EVIX/USDT perpetual contracts are now open for trading. The GVol (Gate Volatility Index) series is used to measure market expectations of volatility for a specific underlying asset over the next 30 days.
