Khung pháp lý này nhằm tạo con đường rõ ràng hơn cho doanh nghiệp tham gia thị trường tài sản số, trong bối cảnh nhà chức trách thắt chặt giám sát sau hàng loạt dự án crypto sụp đổ.
Theo các báo cáo, quy định mới có thể áp dụng cơ chế phân tầng để xác định loại tài sản đủ điều kiện đầu tư. Những đồng tiền lớn như Bitcoin, Ethereum và Solana có thể hưởng lợi từ dòng vốn tổ chức. Tuy nhiên, các stablecoin neo theo USD như USD Coin và Tether có khả năng bị loại do lo ngại rủi ro ổn định tài chính.
Nếu được thông qua, chính sách này có thể thu hút thêm vốn tổ chức vào thị trường crypto sôi động của Hàn Quốc, đồng thời cải thiện niềm tin nhà đầu tư và tính minh bạch của thị trường.
