The transactions can be carried out through the crypto wallets of customers.

It is based on the Open Crypto Pay system that makes payments instantly. Consequently, ADA customers get instant checkout without any hindrance. In addition to this, the merchants get cash in a short period. The system also eliminates the avoidance of irrelevant intermediaries in money transfer.

Blockchain payments however, save all these costs by a large margin. The merchants are in a position of reducing payment charges by almost two-thirds. The site also instantaneously changes crypto into local currency. Thus, retailers will withdraw the volatility risks in transactions. This project reinforces the uptake of crypto in the retail industry of Switzerland. This will give a further value addition to the ordinary shopper. Consequently, the ADA retail payments project takes the blockchain a step nearer to the everyday consumer.

The new system offers a major advantage for retailers. Traditional card networks often charge high transaction fees. However, Cardano blockchain payments significantly reduce these costs. Merchants can cut payment fees by nearly two-thirds. The platform also converts crypto into local currency instantly. Therefore, retailers avoid volatility risks during transactions. Meanwhile, merchants enjoy reduced charges and transactions. Should it gain wider adoption, blockchain payments might become an offer at the checkout of the retail shop.
