Abstract generation in progress

Golden Finance reported that the International Monetary Fund believes that Namibia has no convincing reason for not issuing retail Central BankDigital Money(CBDC). Instead, the focus should be on strengthening Instant Payment Solutions (IPS) to address affordability and interoperability issues. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) emphasizes that Namibia's major financial institutions have been committed to Instant Payment Solutions (IPS), so there is little room for retail CBDCs. In addition, the advantages of CBDCs, such as offline functionality, depend on technology that is not yet ready for widespread adoption. To truly eliminate financial exclusion gaps, Namibia must first address fundamental issues such as inadequate infrastructure and low financial literacy rates.
