On January 31, Jinshi Data News: The U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit to block the $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks Inc. by Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co., stating that the merger of these two companies would harm competition in the enterprise wireless equipment market used by large corporations, universities, and hospitals. In the complaint filed with the California federal court on Thursday, the U.S. government stated that this deal would turn the industry from a triopoly of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Juniper Networks, and Cisco Systems into a duopoly, with the two companies controlling 70% of the market share.
