The U.S. judge rejected Trump's request to postpone the sentencing procedure for his "hush money" case.

On January 7th, Jinshi Data News, on January 6th local time, Judge Juan Merkan of the New York State Supreme Court rejected President-elect Trump’s request to postpone the sentencing procedure for his ‘hush money’ criminal case. It is understood that Trump’s lawyer may continue to appeal to the New York Appellate Court. Earlier on the 6th, Trump’s lawyer appealed the ruling of his ‘hush money’ criminal case and applied to the judge to postpone the sentencing procedure scheduled for this week. A jury of 12 people ruled on May 30, 2024 that Trump had concealed the payment of $130,000 in ‘hush money’ to an adult film actress during the 2016 U.S. presidential election, falsified business records, violated relevant laws in New York State, and was convicted of 34 criminal charges.
