On December 24, local time, Israeli Defense Minister Katz admitted in a speech at an event that Israel was responsible for the assassination of Haniyeh, the former leader of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). This is the first time that Israeli officials have publicly acknowledged responsibility for the assassination of Haniyeh. In his speech, Katz stressed that Israel will continue to fight the Houthis in Yemen. "We will crack down on the Houthis, destroy their strategic infrastructure, and behead their leaders," he said. Just as we did in Tehran, Gaza and Lebanon with Haniyeh, Sinwar and Nasrallah, we will do so in Hodeidah and Sana'a. ”
