The US-South Korea nuclear consultation subcommittee meeting has been postponed. South Korean media speculates that it may be due to changes in the situation in South Korea.

On December 4th, Jinshi data reported that, according to Yonhap News Agency, on the 3rd local time, the US Department of Defense announced the postponement of the fourth meeting of the ROK-US Nuclear Consultative Group (NCG) and the first tabletop exercise (TTX) scheduled to be held in Washington, D.C. from the 4th to the 5th. The report pointed out that the US move may be related to the ROK's heightened state of alert. According to the report, a spokesperson for the US Department of Defense stated that the meeting and exercise will be postponed until a new schedule is announced, and there is currently no information about the new schedule. A relevant official of the ROK government also confirmed the postponement of the meeting and exercise.
