Worldcoin has launched a new World ID Passport Credential, which is currently being piloted in some countries such as Chile, Colombia, Malaysia, and South Korea. The World ID credential allows individuals to link valid forms of ID (starting with NFC-enabled passports) to their World ID without sharing any information with TFH, the World Foundation, or any other third party.
At the same time, the World Foundation is providing WLD Tokens to individuals with a valid World ID passport certificate. Individuals who verify their World ID on Orb are eligible to receive a total of about 51.69 WLD. Individuals with verified passport credentials are eligible to receive additional WLD, regardless of whether they have verified their World ID on Orb. This total amount will decrease over time.
