BTCL2 development company BGD launches BTCon-chain ZK Rollup "Strata". According to reports, Strata is a platform built using ZK Rollup technology that BGD has launched after two years of research and development. In the first phase, Strata will be a ZK Rollup on BTC with a trust-minimized BitVM bridge. In the long term, Strata will become a settlement layer that directly performs ZK proofs on BTC. Earlier in April, BGD announced that it had completed a $10.6 million financing round, led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Castle Island Ventures, Robot Ventures and Axiom Capital. BGD developed BTC Rollup infrastructure last year to introduce smart contract functionality to the BTC network.
