Danske Bank: Pound likely to remain strong against Euro in the near future

Data from Jinshi on September 24th: Kirstine Kundby-Nielsen, an analyst at Danske Bank, said that the Bank of England has signaled a gradual interest rate cut. The strong performance of the UK economy, the weak performance of the euro zone, and the rebound in risk sentiment are expected to continue to push up the pound against the euro in the short term. The continuous tightening of credit interest spreads has further exacerbated this situation. Looking further ahead, the pound may weaken due to the global economic downturn, and the Bank of England may be more inclined to cut interest rates and tighten monetary policy. Danske Bank predicts that the euro against the pound in one to three months will be 0.83, slightly lower than the current level, and 0.85 after 12 months.
