Musk: Tesla's FSD will predict pedestrian intentions, with AI-driven safety exceeding human levels by more than 10 times.

BlockBeatNews

BlockBeats news, on March 29, Musk stated that Tesla’s “Full Self-Driving” (FSD) assist system is not just about emergency braking but is capable of predicting pedestrians’ intentions before they step onto the road. Tesla’s AI-driven autonomous driving will be over 10 times safer than human driving.

In addition, Tesla’s massive semiconductor chip factory project Terafab has been launched in the United States. The Terafab chip factory is far larger than traditional ones and will integrate logic AI chips, memory, and advanced packaging all produced in the same facility. The core goal is to produce 100 billion to 200 billion chips annually, with an initial capacity of 100,000 wafers per month, eventually expandable to 1 million wafers per month, far exceeding current mainstream factories like TSMC and Intel. Musk’s intention is to address Tesla’s explosive demand for AI computing power by providing in-house chips for the Dojo supercomputer, FSD full autonomous driving, Optimus robots, Robotaxi fleets, etc., avoiding reliance on external suppliers like TSMC and Samsung.
