AC questions the funding flow of the Ethereum Foundation, stating that they did not receive any support during the development of Ethereum.
Odaily News Sonic co-founder Andre Cronje (AC) reposted a questioning article by Polygon founder and CEO Sandeep Nailwal about the Ethereum Foundation on X, stating: “I really don't understand. Who exactly is the Ethereum Foundation (EF) funding/supporting? When I was developing on Ethereum, just deploying and infrastructure burned over 700 ETH. I tried to contact EF but never received a reply, no business connections, no funding, zero support, not even a retweet. Since the Ethereum Foundation is supporting neither core developers (like Péter Szilágyi and the Geth team) nor the most ardent Layer 2 supporters (like Sandeep and Polygon), where are these resources actually going?” Previously, Ethereum core developer and Geth client maintainer Péter Szilágyi publicly criticized the internal compensation system and governance structure of the Ethereum Foundation (EF), saying he is “deeply disappointed” with EF. Today, Sandeep Nailwal reposted the relevant updates and expressed similar doubts.
