Zwei kritische Daten zur US-Wirtschaft, die von den globalen Märkten genau beobachtet werden, wurden veröffentlicht. Die wöchentlichen Anträge auf Arbeitslosenunterstützung lagen mit 218.000 unter der Erwartung von 235.000. Dies deutet auf ein stärkeres Bild auf dem Arbeitsmarkt hin als zuvor angenommen.
Auf der anderen Seite verzeichnete das Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) im zweiten Quartal ein jährliches Wachstum von 3,8 Prozent. Die Markterwartung lag bei 3,3 Prozent. Die über den Erwartungen liegenden Wachstumsdaten zeigten, dass die amerikanische Wirtschaft ihre Widerstandsfähigkeit bewahrt und dass inflationäre Druck weiterhin bestehen könnte.
Nach den Daten hat die Ansicht an Fahrt gewonnen, dass die Fed möglicherweise bei der Zinssenkung nicht übereilt handeln könnte. Ein starkes BIP schränkt den Spielraum für Zinssenkungen ein und hat die Befürchtungen erhöht, dass die Inflation auf hohem Niveau bleiben könnte.
Die Erwartungen an Zinssenkungen sind weiterhin stark, aber es gibt einen Rückgang.
Laut den CME FedWatch-Daten wird die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Zinssenkung im Oktober mit 81,2 % bewertet. Allerdings lag dieser Wert zuvor bei 92 %. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Zinssenkung im Dezember ist ebenfalls von 73 % auf 58,8 % gefallen.
Die Daten erschütterten die Kryptomärkte. Bitcoin fiel zum ersten Mal seit zwei Wochen unter 111.000 Dollar. Ether brach die Unterstützung von 4.000 Dollar nach unten und fiel bis auf 3.924 Dollar.
