Two Indian officials stated that India currently sees no need to purchase new weapons from Moscow. However, one of the officials indicated that India is unlikely to completely rid itself of reliance on Russian arms, as the decades-long partnership between the two countries means that India’s military systems will continue to require support from Moscow.
