President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has just signed a decree imposing sanctions on 60 companies and 73 individuals accused of helping Russia withdraw assets through cryptocurrency, including 55 companies from Russia. The sanctioned entities include crypto miners, exchanges, digital asset issuers, and payment intermediaries. Some foreign companies have also been added to the list, such as TOKENTRUST (Cyprus), EXMO (Kazakhstan), and AWX (UAE). The sanctions include freezing assets and prohibiting economic activities in Ukraine. Mr. Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia is turning to crypto as traditional financial channels are being blocklisted.
