The G7 summit will discuss for the first time the issue of North Korea stealing encryption assets.
According to Gate News bot, the Japanese news agency Kyodo reported that Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba will raise the issue of North Korea's cyber activities, such as stealing encryption assets, at the G7 summit from June 15 to 17, and call for joint responses from all countries.
Reports indicate that North Korea is illegally obtaining virtual currency through cyber attacks and using it to develop weapons of mass destruction. Shigeru Ishiba raised this issue at the G7 summit, aiming to disrupt North Korea's related funding sources by strengthening the monitoring systems of multiple countries.
This is the first time in the history of the G7 summit that the issue of North Korea stealing virtual currency has been included in the agenda.
