According to a report by Golden Finance and monitored by ZachXBT, the previous claim that the donations from the auction by Ross Ulbricht, the founder of "Silk Road," might be "self-donations" may not hold true according to the latest investigation. The analysis revealed that the two Bitcoin addresses were temporally correlated with the 300 BTC donation received by Ross Ulbricht (from the coin mixer Jambler). 1Mp5hH of Bitcoin dates back to exchange activity in late 2014. 1CNDW had exchange activity in 2019 and was previously flagged in the compliance tool. Both of these addresses were dormant after November 2019 until they made large deposits to the mixer Jambler between April and May 2025, which is close in time to the payments received by Ross Ulbricht.
