Jin10 data reported on May 20 that the Houthi forces issued a statement declaring their decision to implement a maritime blockade on the Israeli port of Haifa. The statement pointed out that this move is a response to the recent escalation of military operations by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in numerous casualties, as well as the long-term blockade and humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The statement mentioned that the Houthi forces have included the port of Haifa in their list of targets and reminded all relevant businesses and shipping companies to follow the situation's developments and take necessary countermeasures. The statement also noted that in previous operations, the Yemeni side had successfully implemented a blockade on the Israeli southern port of Eilat, causing the port to cease operations.
