关于克拉地峡运河（Kra Isthmus Canal）

是一条规划中的大型战略运河

设想打通泰国湾与安达曼海
用于缩短马六甲海峡的航程
长期处于研究与讨论阶段

并非已建成项目，也不是当前政府的优先工程

它虽然位于泰国南部的设想范围内，
但与甲米府的空鲁德运河无关，
无论是位置还是性质，都不是同一个项目。

说实话，
猫哥自己也还没去过空鲁德运河，
但已经默默记在清单里了。
有机会的话，真的很想亲自去看看 👀🌿

Klong Root Canal (Klong Root), Krabi Province
Klong Root is a crystal-clear canal located in Krabi Province,
in southern Thailand.
It’s well known for its stunning natural scenery
and incredibly clear water, where the underwater views
are visible at a glance.

The water is so clear that you can actually see
natural freshwater springs bubbling up from the bottom,
creating a truly unique and pure nature experience.

Compared to crowded beach routes,
Klong Root Canal is a fantastic alternative—
perfect for those who want to avoid the crowds
and quietly immerse themselves in nature.

❗ Important Note (to avoid confusion)

Klong Root Canal
is completely different from the often-mentioned but unbuilt
Kra Isthmus Canal (Kra Canal).

About the Kra Isthmus Canal
A large-scale strategic canal project in the planning stage
Intended to connect the Gulf of Thailand with the Andaman Sea

Designed to shorten shipping routes through the Strait of Malacca

Has remained in research and discussion for many years
Not yet built and not a current government priority

Although it is envisioned to be located in southern Thailand,
it has no connection to Klong Root Canal in Krabi Province.
They are entirely different in both location and nature.

To be honest,
I haven’t visited Klong Root myself yet,
but it’s already on my list.
