Recently, I came across a quite interesting project - OpenLedger, which aims to solve a major issue in AI training: both data and models are monopolized by giants, while those who actually contribute data end up receiving little benefit.
In simple terms, OpenLedger is about moving the AI training process onto the blockchain. Every piece of data you provide, every model you train, and every result you validate will be recorded. This way, it's clear who contributed what, and the rewards can be distributed according to contributions, without being eaten up by the platform.
Its gameplay is as follows:
The platform offers several core tools. Datanet is responsible for organizing various specialized datasets, allowing you to input your own data as well as use data from others; ModelFactory and OpenLoRA are used for deploying and customizing AI models. The entire process connects all aspects from data collection, model training to practical application.
The most critical aspect is traceability. Every time AI produces a result, you can trace back to see whose data was used, which model was employed, and contributors can receive corresponding incentives. This level of transparency is practically impossible to achieve in the traditional AI field.
Regarding the token OPEN, its uses are quite conventional: paying transaction fees on the chain, incentivizing contributors, participating in project governance, staking to earn rewards, and of course, it can also be used to access various AI services on the platform.
From the trend, the combination of AI and blockchain is indeed a hot direction. Traditional AI development is expensive and has high barriers to entry, making it difficult for ordinary developers and data providers to participate. If the OpenLedger model works, it might make AI training more open and fair. However, the specific effects will depend on the subsequent ecosystem development and practical implementation of the project.

I'm really fed up with the data being completely consumed, let's see if OpenLedger can actually make it happen.
That said, if traceability can really be implemented, it's much better than those black boxes we have now.
