The big companies engaging in blockchain basically follow two paths based on past cases: either they create a Consortium Blockchain and just have a few partners going in circles on-chain; or the project gets bogged down in internal processes, with the compliance department, legal department, and board of directors taking turns reviewing it, and by the time it gets approved, it's already doomed.

Sony's approach this time is quite different. Soneium is not a peripheral project incubated by the group IT department, but rather an independent entity has been established—Sony Block Solutions Labs to take charge. This architectural design is actually quite smart, as it can leverage Sony's brand and resources without getting caught up in the lengthy decision-making chain typical of large companies.
