FOMO confusing behavior: I'm not chasing the price, I'm just being hijacked by emotions.
The biggest gain from coming to Gate Square is realizing that I am actually an "emotional investor." While others experience FOMO out of impulse, my FOMO is an art. That day the market was all green, I was calm as ever;\nBut as long as it rises with two bullish candles, I immediately turn into a "passionate trader" who rides through bull and bear markets.\nSeeing a friend say "it's going to fly", I chase the price directly;\nSeeing the candlestick chart surge, I rush in with my eyes closed;\nBy the time I buy in, the market instantly turns into a reverse lesson. What I consider to be my "market sense" is actually a soul led astray by the hype. So I posted this FOMO story in the Gate Square, and unexpectedly, the comments section was even more outrageous than I imagined: Some people were woken up by tweets at three in the morning to open positions; Some entered the market upon seeing meme images from the crypto world; Some even casually bought a coin at the dinner table and ended up doubling their investment in a week, making everyone else even more FOMO. I suddenly let go: It turns out everyone is the same, it's not that they can't trade, but rather that emotions are the main uptrend. What really healed me at Gate Square was telling me: FOMO is not a shame, it's just a... cute flaw of being an investor.
