Don't remind me again today

Stablecoin payments these years have been like a prisoner trapped on a screen — smooth with online transfers, but it all comes to a halt offline. However, there has been a recent development worth pondering: WalletConnect is doing something to directly integrate encryption payments into the POS machines and cash registers of supermarkets.

Sounds a bit mysterious? Simply put, it allows you to check out with stablecoins as smoothly as swiping a Visa card. Previously, using coins offline required pulling out your phone to scan, waiting for confirmation, and then explaining to the cashier for a long time. Now this process might be overturned.

The key lies in the infrastructure. Only when the payment protocol truly penetrates into terminal devices can the stablecoin be considered to have touched the threshold of the real world.

Another PPT-level plan, can WalletConnect really make it this time? I have my doubts. --- The POS machine is sorted, but how to get through the bank is the real issue. --- After so many years of offline stablecoin payments, it still feels like a pseudo-demand. --- If it really gets rolled out, I would like to give it a try, but I hope it doesn't turn out to be a flash in the pan. --- Finally, someone is thinking about solving this pain point, but I suspect it will take three to five years to land. --- Sounds good, but I'm afraid it's just another financing story that ends up having no follow-up. --- If this wave succeeds, traditional payments will be in trouble, but I bet five bucks it will ultimately be superficial.

Uh... it's again this "disrupting tradition" phrase, I've heard it too many times. Can integrating stablecoins with POS machines really change anything, or is it just another seemingly great idea that's hard to implement?

That's right, but what I'm more concerned about is when the adoption rate curve will show a clear turning point. The integration of POS machines sounds appealing, but what about the incentive mechanisms for merchants? Without sufficient discounts or advantages in transaction fees, it's just a false demand.

Laughing to death, finally not having to awkwardly chat at the cash register, this time there is really something.

Ha, finally someone is seriously working on this. The screen prisoner is spot on, I've been stuck like this for years. --- If the POS machine really works, we might not be far from actually using stablecoins. --- But to be honest, how long will it take to get the infrastructure in place? Anyway, I'm still waiting. --- WalletConnect is really bold, it just depends on whether the supermarkets will cooperate, and I guess there will be some back-and-forth for a while. --- I heard similar claims last year, and here we are again this year. When will it actually be implemented? --- Smooth is smooth, but the key is whether the fees can also be smooth; otherwise, what are we saving on?

It's indeed interesting to think about, but the real implementation will depend on how the central banks of various countries constrain it; otherwise, it will just be another PPT revolution.

If this really lands, it would be great, finally getting rid of the cumbersome process of scanning with a mobile phone. Integrating stablecoin payments with POS machines sounds good, but I'm afraid it might just be a PPT dream. Offline payments are the real indicators; the online transfer methods have long been overplayed. The key is to see who can build the infrastructure thoroughly first. The move with WalletConnect is interesting; if it can really be as smooth as swiping a card, that would be a payment revolution. Honestly, I'm a bit期待, but let's not be too optimistic; the infrastructure issue is much more complex than it seems.

Alright, the POS machine is integrating stablecoins, feels like another "wolf is coming" signal. --- Finally, someone remembered about offline payments, but it only counts if it can really be implemented. --- If WalletConnect works out, cashiers in supermarkets will have to learn how to deal with wallets. --- In simple terms, the infrastructure needs to keep up; otherwise, no matter how good the payment solution is, it's just empty talk. --- Before, every time there was talk of a revolution, but this time it feels a bit different. --- Can it be as smooth as swiping a card? I'll wait and see; I hope it doesn't turn out to be another PPT project. --- If this really rolls out, stablecoins might finally be considered to have gone beyond the screen.
