Upbit — major Solana-token hack + possible Lazarus Group involvement
On 27 November 2025, Upbit — one of the biggest crypto exchanges — detected suspicious withdrawals from its Solana hot wallet. Around $36–$37 million worth of SOL-network tokens ($SOL , $BONK , $USDC , memecoins, etc.) were moved to unknown wallets.
The exchange promptly suspended deposits/withdrawals and froze its wallets. They say they will fully reimburse affected customers from their own reserves.
South Korean authorities are now reportedly investigating — and suspect Lazarus Group, which links to previous high-profile hacks, could be behind the breach.
