European Central Bank board member and President of the Dutch Central Bank, Knot, said on Tuesday that the European Central Bank may continue to cut interest rates until at least the first half of 2025, dropping the interest rate to 2%-3%. Knot said: I expect us to continue to gradually drop interest rates in the coming period, and the same is true for the first half of 2025. He added: I don’t expect interest rates to return to the extremely low levels before the COVID-19 pandemic. They may eventually reach a more natural level. I don’t know how much exactly, but possibly the first number is 2.
