June 28th, Golden Data News, BlackRock Investment Institute's global chief investment strategist Wei Li said that the high uncertainty surrounding the French parliamentary elections means that the stock market is unlikely to have fully digested the risk. "We cannot say that the risk has been fully digested now," said Wei Li in an interview, "the range of outcomes is exceptionally uncertain. It is still difficult to make significant asset allocation decisions now," Wei Li said. "We hope to gain more visibility before making changes." Wei Li said that the European stock market performed poorly in June, with the French CAC 40 index dropping by about 6% since the announcement of early elections, making stock valuations attractive in the face of robust earnings prospects. Since July 2022, she has maintained an underweight rating on European stocks. But she added that it is still "too early" to change her stance.
