The Central Bank of China and the Central Bank of the UAE have launched the payment interconnection and JISR multilateral digital money bridge project.

PANews, November 21 - According to reports, Pan Gongsheng, the Governor of the People's Bank of China, recently attended the launch ceremony of the China-UAE Payment Cooperation Project along with Mansour, the Vice President of the UAE, and Khaled, the Governor of the Central Bank. The two parties signed a memorandum of understanding on cross-border payment interconnectivity, announcing the interconnection of the two countries' fast payment systems, supporting online rapid cross-border remittances for enterprises and individuals; witnessed the first transaction of the “UnionPay-Jaywan” dual-brand card; and officially launched the UAE's multilateral digital currency bridge project JISR to enhance bilateral financial cooperation and improve cross-border payment efficiency.
